Down goes the electricity bill

I purchased a lazy spar Mauritius a few months ago and after the the first heating stopped using it. The cost of heating the water on a daily basis was proving to be prohibitive due to heat loss. The lazy smart company did not manufacture a spa insulating cover for the Mauritius and as such I settle off on a trail with the Internet to find a cover that they would fit them at Mauritius, but be also had a proven heat retention capability. I’m very pleased to say that the cover I purchased from this company both fitted the hot tub and provided an excellent level of insulation which is resulted in the average overnight cost of maintaining the water at 39° of being approximately 6 kWh of electricity. As this is on an overnight tariff it is absolutely amazing that the amount of water can be kept hot during the day and ready for use any time. I would have no hesitation in purchasing another set of covers in the future should the occasion arise.

Huge reduction in running costs

We bought a full set of these covers (the wrap, the lid and a base) and the running costs have dropped dramatically. Before fitting the covers the heater ran 8 times a day having fitted them it now only runs two or three times a day. I have a home energy monitoring system so I have been able to get some real world figures. Before fitting the covers we used between 11 and 14 kWh per day (£2.60 to £3.40 at our current rate of 24p p kWh). We are now using 3.5 to 4.5kWh per day (84p to £1.08). So you can see that the claims of saving you £2 a day are not unfounded.

Will quickly pay for itself!

We bought this as the Mrs wanted to use the Hot Tub all year round. We were finding using it in January was costing a lot to heat. I don't know exactly how much we are saving with this jacket, but it's significant. Heats up much quicker and holds heat for a lot longer. I think it will pay for itself with a few months of use.

Thermal surround jacket

I couldn't be more happy with my Grenada Thermal wrap jacket as I'd been looking for AGES for a cover to fit mine. This site was recommended by a friend and I found exactly what I needed at a great price too. You can tell the difference as tge pump stays few degrees higher than previous and can feel the warmth between hot tub and jacket.
